My Visits
School visits range between 30 minutes for Prek/K to 40 minutes for grades 1 and 2. My visits include Interactive Classroom Presentations, Engaging Storytelling and Fun!
During my time with the youngest children, (PrekK-K), I explain author/illustrator roles, how they work together, including how I work with my illustrator, introduce them visually to them, talk about where my ideas come from, where their ideas might come from, read an age-appropriate story followed with comprehension questions and a Q/A session (30 minutes).
For the older group, (1-2) I do all the above plus talk about how ideas turn into books, how books are produced, show them a bit of the process, read an older-level book followed with a Q/A session. (40 minutes).
When requested, I will also do ‘rap sessions’ with older students in grades 3-5, focused on their writing, including discovering their sticking points with writing, what makes a good story and some time spent writing a few paragraphs. (Additional fee applies).

Fees
I try to make my fee structure as simple, straightforward and budget- friendly as possible.
I will present two sessions in a half day, either morning or afternoon (or over lunch including lunch with the author), beginning at $300.
Full days, up to five sessions are priced at $500.
Travel costs over 20 miles from Doylestown, PA are calculated at a per mile cost. Overnight lodging as required and available.
During special weeks of the year (Catholic Schools Week and Read Across America Week), there are reduced fees. Contact me for more. chrysa@wellbredbook.net.
